Rec FAQs

When is Hoosier Rec offered?

The Fall Season runs mid-August to early-October.
The Spring Season runs mid-April to late-May.

How are teams made?

2019-2018 players will be placed in a 4v4 Coed Division together.
2017-2016 players will be placed in a 4v4 Coed Division together.

2015-2012 Girls will be placed in a 7v7 Division together.
2015-2012 Boys will be placed in a 7v7 Division together.

This three year age gap in the Boys and Girls Division has always worked in the past due to the novice skill level of our Rec program but Hoosier FC will always look to reduce these age gaps if our registration numbers allow it. Thank you for understanding.

Special requests for teammates and coaches will be limited and may not always be fulfilled. If there is a request to play with another player, those players will placed in the oldest of the two's division. Players will not play down in a younger division.

CAN I MAKE A TEAMMATE REQUEST?

Yes, teammate requests are accepted. Either submit your teammate request during registration in the 'special requests' box or email recdirector@hoosierfc.com with your request.

While we do our best to fulfill all teammate requests, some may not be accepted or fulfilled. Thank you for understanding.

For the Boys Division and Girls Division, teammate requests will be limited to a max of four (4) players. This is to be sure we make the most fair teams and games as possible. Hoosier Rec is all about having fun and learning the game with friends and family.

When will I know my player’s team and schedule?

Team assignments and schedules will be provided in just a couple days after the registration deadline. Be sure to keep an eye on your junk folder from the email you used to make an account for registration.

Spring 2024 Registration deadline is March 30th.

When and where are team practices?

During the registration process, each player will be asked to provide their preferred weekly training day(s).  Teams will practice once per week.  The most common training times are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday between 5-7pm.

Team training sessions are held at Habig Soccer Complex, 15600 Carey Road, Westfield.

When and where are technical training sessions?

Hoosier Rec offers two “technical” training sessions during the season that are led by Hoosier FC's professional coaching staff.  During these sessions, the professional coaching staff focuses on the technical fundamentals of soccer (ball handling, etc.) which are the backbone of soccer and a critical component of youth soccer training and development.  Technical training sessions are held on select Fridays throughout the season.

Technical training sessions are held at Hoosier FC's Main Soccer Complex, 6910 E. 161st Street, Noblesville.

When and where are games?

All teams are scheduled for six games.  There will be one make-up game date at the end of the season if needed.  All games are played on Saturdays, usually starting at 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00am.

Games are played at Habig Soccer Complex, 15600 Carey Road, Westfield.

Will games be played when raining?

Yes, games will continue to be played unless the weather conditions are dangerous (i.e. lightning). Please make sure your player is prepared for any type of weather.

Each season can only allow one make up date for a cancelled game due to weather. Thank you for understanding.
