U11 Girls Elite bring home VIT Championship

The HFC 99-00 Girls Elite team were champions in the Premier U11 bracket at the Veteran's Invitational on November 6-7 in Evansville, IN.  The girls defeated their first three opponents by scores of 6-0, 3-2, and 9-0.  They tied Evansville 00 Premier White in the deciding game by a score of 0-0 to clinch the championship.

The team was missing Savannah Haley and Kayla Fitts due to injury and illness.  Because of those absences, the team invited two guest players to attend the tournament.  Those players were Jessica Garey and Makena Schlosser.

In the third game vs. Evansville 00 Premier Blue, player Zoe Wozniak lit up the net by scoring 4 goals in the 9-0 defeat.  Other scorers for the weekend were Taylor Ramey, Jacelyn Smith, Hannah Tillett, Makena Schlosser and Jessica Garey.  The Defensive squad performed excellent by only allowing 2 goals for the entire weekend.

The team recently finished 4th out of 9 teams in the Ohio based TPL (The Premiere League).  The team is currently ranked 38th in the National Soccer Rankings for the nation and 11th in Region 2.
