About HFC

Hoosier Futbol Club is a soccer organization located on the north side of Indianapolis, with training and indoor facilities on the west and south sides of town.  HFC is dedicated to the development of excellence in soccer skills for both boys and girls age 4 and up.

PHILOSOPHY

It is the philosophy of Hoosier FC that great soccer players are developed at a young age (4 to15) through age appropriate training techniques and competitive participation at the highest level.  At these early ages it is extremely important that the individual player skills are developed to provide the basis for an enjoyable and successful soccer career.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Hoosier FC is dedicated to the development of the individual soccer player by providing a unique teaching program emphasizing the FIFA (Federation Internationale De Futbol Association) of the physical, technical, tactical and psychological elements of the game.  The training program is based upon professional studies, which include physical conditioning, science of movement, skill development, fitness, physiotherapy, and nutrition.

DIRECTOR OF COACHING - MARIO CASTELLO

All player and team development is under the directorship of Mario Castello. Mario began his playing career at an early age in Mexico City under the instruction of international coaches. He participated on international all-star teams, culminating in the Intermex Professional Soccer League. In 1996 Mario received his teaching diploma as a Physical Trainer from the Mexican Futbol Federation and holds a FIFA (Federation Internationale De Futbol Association) license. His studies emphasized sports physiology, sports medicine, psychology, nutrition, biomechanics, and strength conditioning. Mario is a member of NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America).

"Mario,
I just wanted to thank you for the time and effort you put into these girls. You have been such a positive addition to Abby's life.  You are a good role model to her, not just in the game of soccer, but in your emphasis on having strong character.  I am always thankful for other adults who can demonstrate to my children the importance of being well mannered, polite and kind. Thank you!  The girls did great today and we are looking forward to more opportunities to watch the girls play hard!
Kim Hardacre"
